Same exact issue for me as well, I'm also running Win7 64-bit.
Tried re-installing in Admin mode but received same error.

Please navigate to the folder where MakemKV is installed, run

Code: Select all

makemkvcon info disc:0
and see if any errors show up.

Thanks for the fix!

I got the error with 1.6.5.
win7 64 bit.

killed a previous makemkv process that was still running.
Uninstalled makemkv.
cleaned registry.
installed, and working again.

I'm new to this (and W7 for that matter) and try to figure out why the program insists on installing in the x86 Program files folder. Is it supposed to do that?

Because MakeMKV is a hybrid application, both 32-bit and 64-bit. You may install it to any location.
