Hi all

Can someone please confirm how an Atmos track should appear on a ripped UHD -MKV
( ie when I select audio options, I see the options in the pic, I was expecting 1 of the options to be labelled as Atmos? / or is it the one labelled truehd 7.1 .s24? )

Cheers for any info.

Yes true hd is Atmos
And dts ma is dtsx
Make sure you set your player to bit stream the lossless audio to your avr if you have one

Just know the shield does not display dv perfectly it's slightly off
And we don't know what the next one will be like all the company that have promised to make dv mkv perfect all have failed as far as I know only the oppos that do folder playback work I think and the clone of that

What's significant about the next Shield compared to the current one?

Oh that's interesting, I wasn't aware of that, thanks for the info Billy...I'll keep an eye out.

@taylor, there is no info on the next version at this time, but the current one has been out past it's refresh time, so a new model should be announced soon...hopefully with smooth DV playback on Mkv's and further enhancements.
