MakeMKV not reading any discs since upgrading to Win11

See subject.
I put a disc in, and it just goes to LOADING... and spins a long time... and.. nothing.... tried now with about 5 discs.. all the same. And nothing has changed except the upgrade to windows 11 (and the enabling of tpm and whatever else I had to do to upgrade). I did reinstall MKV and the same... it's .. aggravating..
Thoughts?

Turn off ransomware protection and see if it work if it does turn it back on and add all of makemkv as an exception

I recently updated to Windows 11, after updating makemkv couldn't find the optical drive. I confirmed the drive was visible and the disc was accessible in File Manager. I reinstalled makemkv which allowed it to see the optical drive but spewed errors when trying to read the disc and it kept behaving like the drive was disconnecting.
I did try disabling all security (including ransomware) software I could find with no luck.
I have "downgraded" back to Windows 10 and makemkv is working normally again.

I have the same problem. MakeMKV no longer detects my optical drive. Rather frustrating.
