MakeMKV stops responding while ripping X-Men BD

I'm trying to rip X-Men BD, part of the trilogy pack:
http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Trilogy-X2- ... 196&sr=8-2
While ripping, the UI stops responding, and the windows title changes to include the text not responding as added by Windows.
The rip never completes, I have to terminate MakeMKV and MakeMKVConv64, then restart.
I've tried to rip the same disc three times, every time the UI stops responding during the rip.
MakeMKV v1.6.4
Win7 x64 Ultimate
Drive Information
Current profile: BD-ROM
Manufacturer: HL-DT-ST
Product: BD-RE BH30N
Revision: A103
Serial number: K9O9B7G3641
Firmware date: 2010-05-26 12:34:56
Disc Information
Data capacity: 36.90 Gb
Disc type: BD-ROM
Number of layers: 2
Channel bit length: 74,5 nm (25.0 GB max. per layer)
I enabled debug logging, and while the UI was hanging I captured memory dumps of the two processes.
The dumps and debug log are here:
