MakeMKV doesn't recognise disk

I have had this for a couple of disks now (GoT S6 & S7 and Bones S8 Disk4)
My system (PC WIN10) will spin up the disk and I can play the DVD normally using VLC media player, but when I try to find and open the disk in MakeMKV the drive/disk is greyed out or not available.
Any thoughts? It works with most disks, just the odd one or two that have problems.
