I just realized that I registered MakeMKV back in June of 2016. Somehow I forgot until I found my receipt in my email today. What are the advantages of my purchase? Sure, I think it is reasonable to support those who create and support the software. No problem with that at all. But, I find that I still have to grab the new key every few months.

Is it possible to avoid the regular key updates? Are there other benefits from having to register?

A purchased key does not expire - so no need to periodically update the beta key, or re-enter it every 30 days to keep the Bluray capabilities working.
