Rip first 2-3 minutes of each track

I have PBS' Endeavour Season 7. There are two blue-ray disks with Eps 1 and 2 on Disc 1 and 3 on Disc 2.

MakeMKV reports 988 titles on disk 1. There seems to be two general types, one 5 chapters and 48 mins long and one 9 chapters and 90 mins long. I know that each eps is approx 90 mins long. I have no idea what the 48 min eps is.

They seem to be duplicates of each other ... lots and lots of them. I can't rip them all (who has that type of disc space). Can I rip the first 2ish minutes of all of them to see which one is Eps 1 and which one is Eps 2?

Use the vlc integration and watch the playlists no need to rip

Other folks have been figuring out the correct segment maps for the three episodes.

I am intrigued by this - Can you explain how to use the vlc integration?

Thanks

In makemkv a setting go to integration tab and check vlc
Then go in vlc and select open disc Blu-ray and no menus if you don't have java.
