No audio on Blu Ray RIP

First of all I'm a relative newcomer to this so please be patient with the questions I'm asking. My situation is that I have ripped a Blu RAY DIsk using MakeMKV and the result is that I get video output all okay but no audio. On checking this forum to see if this issue was reported previously I see people asking wither output file works with audio in VLC and more information on CODECS. I can confirm that I can play the file with audio all ok using VLC with audio output and this works all ok. The relavent CODEC information reported in VLC is as follows :

Audio Codec : araw
Language : English
Channels : Stereo
Sample Rate : 480000 Hz
Bits per Sample : 32

I've tried playing the file using Windows 10 Movies and TV App and I have tried running the file on Plex both displaying the file witout audio.

I also see references in the forums to making sure that Export Mode is set. So have also tried running MakeMKV both with and without Export Mode on and again no difference here. As a suplemntary question can someone please explain to me what exactly does Export mode do please ? What are the Pros and Cons of using Export Mode.

I look forward to your replies.

"araw" is what VLC calls LPCM. MS Movie SHOULD be able to play it (it's a variation of CD audio). For some other players, converting it to something "more advanced" might be necessary.

MakeMKV offers two profiles for audio conversion during the rip; aac-stereo and flac. You could try those to see if it fixes the issue.

If you use something like handbrake to compress the video, it can also convert the audio to a number of different formats.

It's not "expOrt mode", but "expErt mode", and it enables controls that are not available in the default install, like selecting profiles.
