This has been asked before, but I've never seen a proper answer.

Every reference to buying MakeMKV that I can find, says that MakeMKV costs $50. However, when I go to http://makemkv.com/buy/ and click the Buy Now button, the prise is ?50 plus VAT. I understand the VAT part, but why is it suddenly 50 Euro instead of 50 Dollars? With the current exchange rate, this becomes almost $67, before VAT is added.

So - I guess the question is: Is this on purpose, and if so, why?

I should probably also point out that this is not meant as a complaint of the price of MakeMKV. The price itself is not the issue here. I'm just very surprised that I have to pay (about 35%) more than the commonly quoted price, without any explanation being given for this change.

I suspect avangate looks at your IP, decides where in the world you are and then does currency conversion so it costs 50 [INSERT YOUR CURRENCY HERE].

Sure, but I'm asking if that's how it's supposed to work, and I'd really like Mike's input on the subject.
