HD-DVD Xbox 360 drive firmware

Hello! I’ve been using MakeMKV for a fair while now, and I recently got an Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive and some movies to play around with it. I’ve been running into an issue playing a set of discs, and before posting about it here I wanted to be sure my drive was on the latest firmware first. I don’t have an actual Xbox 360 so I can’t practically update it the intended way, and the latest firmware I found on the wayback machine says it’s from 2007, but I’m seeing news articles saying the latest firmware update was in 2008. Since I got the drive on eBay, the seller may have updated it already so I want to find out what the last firmware update is before I worry too much about trying to update it.
