Problem opening and decrypting
Posted: Sat Jun 20, 2020 3:44 am
I am at a loss, when I click on the button for it to read the blu-ray, it starts to read it and then it hangs with opening and decrypting. It gets stuck in a loop and I can't even get to the task manager. Only a hard power off will work. It is happening to discs that I have previously ripped, so I do not believe it is the disc. I did install the latest version of MakeMKV and no luck.
I have updated drivers and still no luck.
The log file shows:

I am not a computer person, and before posting I have read up a lot about drivers and restore points (I guess because of limited HD space on my boot drive I had that turned off). I know it worked about 3-4 weeks ago. Every 4 weeks I will purchase a movie and before it gets lost/scratched, I usually convert it to MKV, just in case and it looks like my last purchase was about a month ago and I see the MKV file for that. Now I did just recently did the update for Windows 10 and it shows not version 2004. I do not know if that has anything to do with it, but I have researched this a lot and thought I would give you that information.
I am getting odd errors also in VLC, so all this might be related.

Any suggestions, I am all ears.
Thank you so much for your help.
