Hi all,

Before i purchase a bluray drive and use this MakeMKV program i have a question. What is the avergae file size for a bluray movie when converted to MKV? And does MakeMKV rip right from bluray retail movie to MKV? Or do you need another program liek ANyDVD to rip the bluray first. I'm just seeing if it's even worth my time if the file sizes and time to rip are too high

The file sizes tend to be in the 15-25GB range, taking anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour to rip. You can use MakeMKV on any blu ray without BD+ protection (pretty much anything not made by FOX). For BD+ you need AnyDVD for now.
