Cannot access drive with AHCI on

HI.
Great program.
I have just built a new machine and cannot get MakeMKV access my BluRay drive
The Drive is an LG Blu Ray/ HD DVD drive (forget the model number). If I set the SATA mode of my motherboard to IDE, MakeMKV will work without a problem. However if I turn on ACHI on, MackMKV tells me that I need Admin privalages to access the drive.
Running the Program as Admin makes no difference.
Am I doing something wron or is this currently a limitaiton of the software?
Thanks

Thanks for the work around...
I am running into the same behavior. MakeMKV could not see my drive until I set my motherboard to IDE mode (from AHCI). I even tried turning off UAC with out any luck. Confirmed my account is in the Administrators group.
PC/Motherboard: Shuttle SD27P2
Blu-ray drive: LG GGC-H20L
Vista 64 Home Premium

Can you please enable "log debug messages" in preferences dialog, restart makemkv and see if it will show anything at all in the log window, and post the log here? It will help a lot.

Also, there is a known bug in windows VISTA that causes drives to disappear. The full description is here -
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928253 . Please let me know if it will solve the problem.

The program can't find any usable optical drives. The BETA version requires administrative privileges for drive access.
Drive is available for all other applications...

Same here. Tried the fix but it has made no difference.

The log indicates that drive is detected but fails to accept MMC SCSI commands - very strange. We'll try to figure out what's going on. Thank you for posting the log.
