Win 1809 Can't See HDDs

got MakeMKV v1.12.3
Backed up whole BR to HDD
Eject BR
File > Open Files
"Select existing video source file" window appears
Now normally this shows my drives and I navigate to the "movieobject" file.
However now it's all just blank.
Reinstalled MakeMKV but no change.
Only thing I can think of is Windows 1809 is blocking it in some way.
Any other suggestions?
By the way the "theme" is just a windows high contrast theme made black, so no ultheme edits or anything.
