Charlie and the Chocolate Factory HD-DVD Failed to open Disc
Posted: Fri Jan 12, 2018 7:36 pm
I'm trying once again to rip my HD-DVD's as I only have a PC HD-DVD drive now, but this one disc is proving difficult. MakeMKV always fails to open the disc
It is already posted in the Problematic HD-DVD's thread, but nothing seems to have come of it. http://makemkv.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?p=8544#p8544
I have tried MakeMKV 1.8.8, 1.9.7, 1.9.9, 1.9.10, 1.10.2, 1.10.3, 1.10.4, 1.10.6, 1.10.7, 1.10.8, & 1.10.9
Has anyone been successful in ripping this movie from HD-DVD? Anything else I should try?
thanks
-Brad
*Extra Notes*
With AnyDVD HD running it plays fine in Media Player Classic (aside from the fact that the movie is split across 2 files), but trying to copy the .EVO files off the disc to the desktop results in an error, as does attempting to rip to image. MakeMKV seems to be unable to open the disc so i think think these problems are unrelated. I have tried a few other tools but have thus far been unsuccessful. I have successfully ripped the remainder of my HD-DVD collection with MakeMKV though.
Code: Select all
MakeMKV v1.10.9 win(x64-release) started
