1.10.6 Won't work at all

I uninstalled version 1.10.5 and installed the latest version 1.10.6 but each time I try to use it, it tells me I dont have the latest version have have to return to the website to download the latest version (which is 1.10.6 at this time) I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling multiple times along with rebooting to no avail. I am not able to use the latest version at all. Any ideas or help? I've been using Makemkv for a few years and have never had this problem.
