Hello,
i used MakeMKV for a while and suddently it stopped working. I cannot lauch the program anymore.
It ends always in a pop up saying "Application failed to initialize".

I am using the latest Win10 (Creators Update) and it worked fine on it.
The only weired thing I did was stopping one dvd-extraktion-process the other day.

I already tried to reinstall the program, i even tried older versions, etc.

Most likely cause is Windows Defender. It has a tendency to quarantine parts of MakeMKV after some updates, because the MakeMKV update server is in an "unsafe" location.

You can enter an exception for MakeMKV. At least, I'm told you can - I don't run Defender.

thank you very much - i tried this and it doenst helped.

i deactivated defender, firewall and AVAST, then re-instaleld the prgramm - still no positive result.
