Howdy,

I wasn't sure (and still am not) if expert mode was in beta, so instead of checking, I went ahead and purchased a permanent key.

So, my questions are: Is expert available in beta? What extra features did I pay for? If I just want to do basic stuff (which I am), can I get a refund and go back to beta or am I out $50?

Buying the license means never having to join the chorus of people who post messages every other month when the beta key expires, and not having the 30-day trial limitation on Bluray features. You don't have to worry - it just works.

Expert mode works in beta, if you turn it on - it's under Preferences->General.

I do not know what Mike's policy is on refunds; You'd have to send a message to support@makemkv.com to find out. Personally, I paid for it knowing all of this, and don't regret it.
