Martian Subtitles

Anyone have an issue when you rip the Martian the Chinese subtitles at first are at the top of the screen then at the bottom? Anyone know a fix?
The subtitles are where the authors placed them. They are graphic images on both DVD and Bluray, rather than text.
I would guess the disk author placed them in the "least busy" part of the picture to have the best readability, even though jumping about like that can be very confusing!
