MakeMKV says it is expired but it is not

MakeMKV 1.10.2 (installed 10-4-2016) on Windows Server 2008 R2. I'm trying to
copy Monsters, Inc 3D BD. When I hit Convert or Backup, I get a dialog that
says:
---------------------------
MakeMKV BETA popup
---------------------------
Evaluation period has expired. Please purchase an activation key if you've found
this application useful. You may still use all free functionality without any
restrictions.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

and reports "Failed to open disc".

But I just installed it and the About dialog says:
Evaluation: Ended
This version expires: Thu Dec 08 2016

This is contradictory. How do I correct this?

PS I tried to attach the 1KB log file but this forum rejected it saying "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached."

Grab the beta key again, and go through the Help->Register process. The 30 day counter on Bluray features is supposed to reset when you put the key in, but sometimes it doesn't get it immediately.

That seemed to fix it. I had to google for the code and found it here:

I've never had to put in the code before to get BDs to work.

Thanks
