makemkv looks a great app.

I'm trying makemkv for 1st time how to request a free beta key?

i read that while in beta its free but i can't workout how to get a free beta key, do you have to register somewhere and you get emailed it, i found a key somewhere but it runs out july 2016.

please help thx

What you found is the current key and yes it expires at the end of this month.

Those who wish to use the program for free will need to update their key every few months.
Or, they can purchase a permanent key and not have to deal with frequent key replacements.

I've been using MakeMKV for a number of years and just went ahead and paid for it and have gotten many updates since then. It works on my DVD's, HD DVD's and Blu-Ray's. It works 99.9999% of the time. There's only one HD DVD I have it didn't work on. I think it was one of my Terminator Discs. It's been a while. I still have a Disc Drive that can read all 3 formats.

But isn't that code from 2010 ? where can i find the latest beta key ?

Go to the forum page "New and Announcements" and see the thread "MakeMKV is free while in Beta".

Mike keeps updating that message, so that any links to the beta key are always correct. If you READ the message, it tells you when the key inside expires.
