No. The difference is that, if you have a permanent key, it doesn't expire like the beta key does. But the files written are not different.
However, right now, the beta key is expired, so you have to set your system date back prior to about March 25 when you start MakeMKV, after which you can reset it to the current date. The author usually provides a replacement beta key within a day or two of expiration, or he issues a new version before the old key expires. Still waiting for one of those to happen.
