The key code expired January 31 and no updated code was added to the page. Is there a new code key?

If Mike hasn't changed the key message in the announcements, then no, there isn't yet.

In the mean time, you can start MakeMKV by setting your system date back to, say, January 30, launch MakeMKV, then reset the date to today.

Mike did mention a bug fix release coming soon, but there was no date given.

I kind of have a follow on from this.

My January 2016 key expired on 30th Jan, not 31st Jan.
Now that it has expired, the client told me it removed the key and to restart the app.

I restarted the app, and now it launches, but crashes with a "MakeMKV Beta Popup" and the contents "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit".
And it closes.

I have tried removing the app, re-installing the app.
I have tried the previous version 1.9.8, and get the same issue.
I have tried the version before that, 1.9.7, and it launches fine, no errors, but then pops up, with the program is too old, and to download a newer version.
I went through the registry removing lots of references to the app (after removing it again), and re-installed 1.9.9 again, but no joy.

I know it's free for now, and I can't expect too much of a personal service with it, but I can't find on the website, the ability to even buy the app. (of course once I get it working, not going to buy it yet, while I can't actually run it).

I experienced the same problem. I've been using makemkv for several months,
so I went and bought a key. With that new key, makemkv started right up.
You can purchase a key at www.makemkv.com/buy if you decide you want to
do that.

Thanks for the buy link, but i cannot put a key in until my problem is sorted.
As soon as the program starts it freezes then 30 seconds later that error message pops uo.

I cant click on anything, or do anything, i just have the waiting cursor.

I've been using MakeMKV since several weeks now and I really like it. I would be more than happy to purchase a license and support future development but... the price tag is actually $76,29 (CAD), which is kinda "odd"...

I guess it's a converted $50,00 (USD), am I correct ?

Before I purchase, I must ask you... Do you have any coupon code or discount for us, poor Canadian customers trapped with a very low currency value ?

Mike has said that the price is set at USD50, and the company that handles the registration adjusts that to cover local currency and (where applicable) VAT.

In over 5 years of hanging out here, I have never seen anything like a coupon code for any reason.

i have been using this for about a year, i just bought a key since i have been a free loader long enough.. just hope its a lifetime key.

After years of using the "Beta" for free I finally bought my own license too. I've enjoyed the benefits as a free rider long enough.

The code was changed, the message was not. Sorry for the mistake.

Hello Folks, I'm new to this Forum. I downloaded MakeMKV awhile ago and haven't really gotten a chance to explore it. I logged in recently and the package has expired. I attempted to re-download the latest version and it still throws the Evaluation error.

I see that there is a beta key, but I can't seem to figure out where it gets posted. Any help in pointing me towards the right forum topic for the Beta Key would be greatly appreciated.

The Announcements section has a message with the subject, "MakeMKV is free while in Beta". It is updated periodically with the current beta test key.
