Seagate Free Agent+ Not playing files

I have a Seagate 2TB HD and a Seagate FreeAgent Home Theater+ media player. I hook up the hdmi from the MP to the TV and then an optical to my Denon AVR. Since I upgraded to the 1.5.2 version the movie pauses for a second and then starts up again. It does this about every 5 minutes or so. Sometimes it just plays and the audio goes in and out (Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and Whiteout..I've red backed up the movies many times and even brought back the movie to BB and still doesn't work?). And sometimes the movie will not playback at all (Watchmen and Unbreakable)? I just payed for the software now and it is worse than it was before?? What gives? Even DVDs do this now? The earlier ones I downloaded from January (BDs and DVDs) don't pause? Any suggestions?

Hi!
Since I upgraded to the 1.5.2 version
The first thing you should do is update to v.1.5.4.
The earlier ones I downloaded from January (BDs and DVDs) don't pause?
Try making a new backup of one of these (Using the original, commercial BluRay or DVD as your source) and see if the problem persists...

It might also be a problem with the FAT+. I've had some minor problems with mine on occasion. This device is more sensitive to audio and subs than my WD. MKVs made with makeMKV that play fine on my WD might loose sound near the end of a movie if subtitles are also selected.

You might need to upgrade or re-firmware it. Besides this site you might also want to go to the Seagate forum and see if your particular problems are addressed. Sometimes they develop problems that can be cured by a re-flash.

I have a 32 bit and the 1.5.4 is for the 64 bit? I tried and it won't upgrade?

One version fits all PCs ;>}
(From the homepage: "MakeMKV 1.5.4 for Windows - Requires Windows XP, Vista or Win7, x86 or x64")
Did you get v.1.5.4 from this website or elsewhere?

What is your system configuration?

Exactly what happens when you try to install v.1.5.4?

Are you signed on as "Administrator"?

I updated the Seagate FA+ and it seems to be working better but HP and the Half Blood Prince still jumps around even after reburning it? Anyone else have that problem with it?

@mnfish

Please be good enough to answer my previously asked questions:
