I have the 1.5.2 version and tried to backup my new Avatar BD and the log says:

Using direct disc access mode
Directory where to look for BD+ SVQ files is not set in preferences
Processing BD+ code, please be patient - this may take up to few minutes
Processing BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00000.svq
Failed to process BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00000.svq
BD+ dump directory is not set in preferences, BD+ dump not saved
Failed to process BD+ code, please check http://www.makemkv.com/svq/ for updated program and SVQ files
Failed to open disc

I tried to update to the 1.5.4 version (yes I bought it!) and it still only gives me the 1.5.2? So does this mean I'll need to wait for the next version to come out to do this?

Hi!

In another thread about "AVATAR" yesterday, I said:
I'm confident that shortly after the official U.S. release date of 4/22/10, MakeMKV will provide the means for dealing with the anticipated "Avatar" BluRay new BD+ protection. (MakeMKV is already capable of dealing withthe new v.17 of the AACS "key") setarip_old
To te best of my knowledge, the new BD+ protection used with the "Avatar" BluRay has not yet been successfully circumvented by any program at this moment...
