While downloading dvd's as usual, then all of a sudden, it no longer sees any dvd in the tray?Blue light flashes on both the dvd and the program image & shows it spinning. Then it quits and says no disc. What gives?
Yes, I'm a newby... I did shut it down, restart the Mkv, restarted the HTPC, made sure I'm running as admin... now what?

With MakeMKV NOT running, can you access the DVD or BD with Windows Explorer, and get a directory?

If not, Windows itself is not seeing the drive properly. Try shutting the machine down (as in power off), then restarting it. There are times when a drive will get into a state where it won't talk to the operating system, and only powering the drive (or motherboard) down will reset the interface.

I had done several restarts & it was then that II noticed it wouldnt even see a disc in windows. ??? I ended up un plugging the BD from the HTPC motherboard & doing a restart too let it Not find it , then replugging it in to let it "find" it again.
And its back to working...Weird.
