Any interest in ripping only the maximum movie mode clips?

Hello all,
I just ripped Sherlock Holmes (2009) bluray and really loved the maximum movie mode where they explain with picture and picture how the movie was made.
Now makemkv rips 2 titles (around 23GB and 22GB). The first is the whole movie with the extra MMM clips thrown in.
I was wondering if it would be possible to have makemkv rip out only the MMM clips? I hope there is enough interest in this that Mike could consider it.
I am not sure about the inner details, but I assume its something like a linked list where the MMM links in additional frames from the bluray. Wouldn't it be possible to traverse the logical code when we click on MMM, compare the set of frames with the other vanilla mode title, and separate out all the MMM clips? In this case, there would be no need to simulate the Java code.
On another note: given that I have 2 mkv titles - is there any software which would compare them are rip out all non-identical frames?
thanks.
