What's the deal with the MakeMKV subreddit?

How is the MakeMKV subreddit related to the software and this forum? Is it just an unofficial support site? Who are the moderators?

I'm guessing no moderators are here or will admit they're moderators as moderating a reddit today is a liability nightmare as they push too much legalese. I'd like to see someone create a investigative piece on how much Reddit depends on the naivety of the moderators.

To my knowledge, the ONLY official support site for MakeMKV is here. The author of the program owns and operates this site, and I (personally) would not go to anything on "reddit", for a variety of reasons.

That said, they run what they want to run. It could be wonderful. But it isn't official.

I heard bad things about it. And it's not releated to Mike, the author of Makemkv.
