frozen makemkv

i was trying to open makemkv when for some reason it took over 10 seconds to start searching for disc drives.
now its just frozen on MakeMKV v1.18.2 win(x64-release) started for what appears to be over 1 minute and counting.
everytime i open makemkv the process starts makemkvcon64.exe as well. and it will NOT close. why is the process so important it will not be shutdown. so i open makemkv again and it just makes another makemkvcon64.exe and nothing happens. my drive with my disc is silent. really weird.

i think its downloading SDF. for some reason that takes like 20 seconds to do. it keeps popping up randomly. i was just done and ended makemkv.exe and then everything just from bad to worse.

Mine too, except my Libre Drive wouldn't respond.
Had to completely shut down to get it to open and release the disk.

This is usually due to disk access errors, virtual device conflicts, or slow network connections when loading SDF data. You should completely kill all makemkv.exe and makemkvcon64.exe processes in Task Manager.
