4K rip keeps freezing halfway

What to do when a 4K UHD video keeps getting stuck halfway when using make mkv. The drive just slows down and the rip won’t finish. The disc looks fine and other ones work. Could this be a bad disc or maybe something with the drive?? Could someone provide some guidance on this?

What does the MakeMKV log (the bottom part of the window) say when this happens?

Have you actually cleaned the disc? I have had it when the disc spins down and then restarts by itself after 10 minutes, When this happens I have cleaned the disc and then it rips without stopping.
