Can the size of SRT be changed in Notepad ?

I tried tonight and it looks like it can. have you had any luck in this regard. Oh yea, using Subtitle edit and had good luck until it came time to save the MP4 with the subtitle changes. How the heck do you do it? I think its under Video and Generate video with burned in subtitles, but I'm not sure.
