Dolby Vision

Post by Daskew78 » Sat Feb 15, 2020 3:38 am

Hi,

I have Googled and searched on this forum before anyone has a go but I couldn't find any conclusive information...

Is it possible to rip Dolby Vision into an mkv yet? Or even using different software into an mp4 or other? I believe from what I've read it can be ripped into an ISO but that doesn't help me with my Plex library.

Thanks.
Regards

Dave

There are many conversations on this, even up until recently. Including a very active 70+ page thread. Example:

https://www.makemkv.com/forum/viewtopic ... 12&t=18602

And dozens more returned using the forum search function:

Unsure how exactly you could not find any. :?: :?: :?:

I said I couldn’t find anything conclusive, not I couldn’t find anything!

Well, in the links provided, there are conclusive answers. Additionally, I’ve heard DVDfab has a mp4 solution. How effective is it? I couldn’t tell you. But you can probably jump onto their support forum to see if there is any info.
