I just wanted to praise our dear developers a bit. Since I bought makemkv there has been no dvd or bluray that I couldn't process. Once I encountered a complex multicell, sent the info as requested and the next version did the trick. Last night I had bluray that refused to work with aacsv12 (it seemed strange, since the bluray was out for like over a year) and as it was late I couldn't be bothered to type up a bug report. This morning when I wanted to compile the report, makemkv told me 1.6 was available - no links yet, but I guessed and hit the correct download link - which processed the disc as expected. I know that 1.6 was not an update triggered by the notification link I clicked the night before, but it sure felt this way and that's what counts.
Anyway, I wanted to say thank you for that great piece of software, that enables me to watch my discs on my beloved ubuntu, I'd gladly pay those bucks again and would recommend this software to anybody trying to play blurays with linux.
