installing makemkv 1.10.6

A few months ago I installed MAKEMKV 1.10.5.1 in Ubuntu 16.04 using
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:heyarje/makemkv-beta
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install makemkv-bin makemkv-oss
I now want to upgrade to 1.10.6 and downloaded
/download/makemkv-bin-1.10.6.tar.gz
/download/makemkv-oss-1.10.6.tar.gz
In which directory do I have to place the bin and oss tars in order to proceed
with the sudo make install for the bin and tar packages ?

It doesn't matter where you put the tars, if your ubuntu-username is "YOURUSERNAME" then /home/YOURUSERNAME will be fine.

I have now installed makemkv 1.10.6 and it's working fine
