Sound Volume?

#1 Post by Monarch1st » Sat Jun 06, 2015 6:50 am

Is there a way to increase the sound volume?
The sound is a bit low on the m4v files I'm seeing (as well as the m4v files made by handbrake from the m4v files, but they match the originals so it's not a hb problem.)
I've looked around and nothing pops out. I could have missed something of course, so I'm asking here.

Oh, this is the windows version if it makes a difference. Win 7 pro64.

Thanks!

MakeMKV does not change volume levels, BUT..... The encoders in handbrake often do. I have many examples where the volume on a pass-through AC3 or AAC track is anywhere from 3 to 9db greater than the converted tracks that handbrake generated. I'd go to strictly pass-through on everything, except that AC3 compatibility has been a problem on Apple devices.

But that's a handbrake issue.
