Can't find a USB Buffalo External BR Reader/Burner

Hi,
I have installed the MakeMKV program but it can't find my usb bluray drive. Any thoughts on what I can do to get it to detect? It's a USB Buffalo external player. I can rip the files to my hard drive with anydvd and then convert them with Make MKV but I can't rip them right to MKV. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

can you please enable "log debug messages" in preferences, restart the program and post the log here? This will help to troubleshoot the problem.

This is without the drive plugged in. If you need it with the drive plugged in and turned on let me know.

MakeMKV v1.4.8 beta win(x86-release) started

yes please, also try it with the drive. Also, what OS are you using?

No Problem, I will post the new log data with the drive plugged in and turned on when I get home tonight. The OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit on a HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx laptop, 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8600, 6GB 800MHz DDR2, Mobile Intel PM45 Express Chipset, USB 2.0. Let me know what other info you might need.

Has anyone used an external usb drive successfully with this software? I'm thinking of possibly getting a different drive to attach to my laptop.
