Full backups now have zip files? New?

#1 Post by cinemacoma » Thu Feb 28, 2013 10:52 am

Fellwo MKVers.

I do full disc backups then work off of those as needed. Folder structures are similar save for the few Ps3 update titles, etc.

Now, randomly, Im seeing "zip" files among the various full backed up data files. Any one know what this be all about?

Ive not had a single rip have anything of the sort until recently and they are becoming more frequent.

Ive looking into the archive and its just a random (to me) number named file. I wont explore it further as Ive no idea what it is.

Thoughts?

They are D-Box Motion Codes. On some discs motion codes are on numbered folders (I would guess the early ones are like this), on other discs motion codes are as zip-files. Also if disc has D-Box motion codes, there is also FilmIndex.xml present at the root.
