embarrassing newbie question.

I understand makeMKV is freeware/shareware/buyware but I can't find a way to try it at all.
I've downloaded the latest version off your site and it says it's expired and asks for a registration key.
if it's as good as reviews suggest I'll happily buy it, but I'm not offered that option either.
