Files created by MakeMKV will not play on PowerDVD

I created both DVD and Blu-ray files from original American Region discs. None of them will play in Cyberlink PowerDVD 23 due to Region issues. is there a setting in MakeMKV to set the correct Region Code. The DVD files all play fine in VLC.I have hundreds of both DVD and Blu-ray files that were created by AnyDVDHD and they all work fine in PowerDVD 23. (Of course I can't use that software anymore.)

What do you mean when you say "created both DVD and Blu-ray files"? Are you using MakeMKV's backup feature to create decrypted backups for a DVD (which makes an .iso file) or a blu-ray (which creates a folder with files in it)?

If you create .mkv files, there's no region coding in those at all.

I don't have any experience with Cyberlink PowerDVD so I have no idea how or why it may or may not work.

I would just continue to use VLC. Any reason you need to use Powerdvd? It seems to be dated, no?
