New to MakeMKV: Original Bluray Video and Audio

Hello I am new to the Blu Ray ripping community,
I have collected a huge number of Blu Rays and after loosing a couple due to scratches and other damages i have begun to think about ripping them onto a drobo storage center.

I would like to maintain the orginal video and audio streams WITHOUT any compression what so ever.
My question is, How does MakeMKV affect the orginally 1080p video stream and DTS-HD Master Lossless Audio stream, as it rips the blu-rays.

MakeMKV does not alter the streams. It simply dumps them into a MKV container.
