AV Sync errors using v1.17.1 win(x64-release), 4K UHD disc

#1 Post by Dingo69 » Wed Aug 17, 2022 1:39 am

Hi all,

What do all these AV Sync errors mean? I’ve seen a few threads that mention the issue, but am unsure of the resolution. Is this a concern?

I wrote a post about this a couple years ago now. It is still mostly relevant.

The short, short version is, there's nothing to worry about. Those messages are a side effect of something called seamless branching.

I am a new user to makemkv and searched the thread before posting, and this post is reassuring, thank you!

Side question, I often get like only 3-5 of these a/v sync errors per disc, so to experience these on each disc is normal?

In my experience, yes. I see them on my rips with some regularity.
