Fatal error occurred

#1 Post by tontona » Sun Sep 26, 2010 4:35 pm

When I launch MakeMKV 1.6.0 it says "Fatal error occurred, program will now exit."

I'm running win7 x64

Hello,

I have the same problem with 1.60 and w7 64bit :evil:
To admin:
Why is it not possible to go back to 1.58 (worked fine with w7 64bit), it forces the update to 1.60 and nothing is possible with this version :cry:

You can still download the old version from videohelp.com and install into another folder.

To admin:
Using version 1.58 is not possible.
After installation / starting the following message is shown:
"This application version is too old.
Please download the latest version at
http://www.makemkv.com"

The program quits ... :evil:

You can download v1.4.4 from video help, but not the previous version (v1.5.8). Anyone know where we can download v1.5.8? I am currently using v1.5.4.

Have been updating MakeMKV for over a year with no problems until this last update and I get the same fatal error message and shut down. :cry:

You can use any old version as long as you enter registration key, either a free beta key or your purchased key.

Could you please check if it's a 64-bit problem? From MakeMKV folder type on command line

Code: Select all

makemkvcon64 info disc:0
makemkvcon info disc:0
and see if program fails in both cases.

This is incorrect. I have been using version 1.5.4 and once the beta key expired yesterday now it gives us the error that it is too old. Even setting the date back doesn't help because the program just closes out.

To admin:
starting two commands in command line

1. makemkvcon64 info disc:0

a window opens with: "MakeMKV console application funktioniert nicht mehr (... does?nt work any more...)"

2. makemkvcon info disc:0

gives in command line window: Das ?ffnen der Disk schlug fehl (Opening the disk failes...)

windows 7 64bit

From the other thread - please try the following - start a command prompt, navigate to the folder where MakeMKV is installed and type

Code: Select all

cmd /c set APROXY_FORCE_32BIT=1 && makemkv

Hello,

I?ve tried this:
cmd /c set APROXY_FORCE_32BIT=1 && makemkv

the following happens:
The application window opens, after about 5 sec
it closes with the massage:
"Fehler aufgetreten, Programm wird beendet"
"Error occurred, program will be terminated"

windows 7 64bit

Hi everbody,

I do have the same problem.

i'm on a german Win7 64bit Ultimate

When i try "cmd /c set APROXY_FORCE_32BIT=1 && makemkv"
makemkv still starts the x64 realease.

it only works in 32bit mode, when using single steps
cmd
set APROXY_FORCE_32BIT=1
makemkv

cheers
Kurt

I had the same fatal error with v1.6 on Win7 x64.
After using Kurt's SET suggestion, I was able to launch MakeMKV without the error. I then entered my registration code and re-booted. Now MakeMKV will launch without the fatal error and without having to enter the SET parameter.

Please post your EXACT version of win7. Do you have a service pack installed? beta service pack?
