Doesnt work for me. MakeMKV doesnt seem to be using the SVQ file I downloaded, however. Hmmm - worked for Avatar...

MakeMKV v1.5.6 beta win(x64-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded 8 SVQ file(s)
Processing BD+ code, please be patient - this may take up to few minutes
Processing BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00000.svq
Failed to process BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00000.svq
BD+ dump directory is not accessible, BD+ dump not saved
Failed to process BD+ code, please check http://www.makemkv.com/svq/ for updated program and SVQ files
Failed to open disc

@thudman99

How long ago did you download the "allcombo.svq" file and place it in your "SVQ" folder?

Then your setting are wrong.
Look at the setting and see what folder have you told makemkv to look for the
SVQ. From the log it looks like you have to set it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but It is set. I also re-set it to an alternate location and put a freshly downloaded copy of the svq file there, just to make sure.
Additionally, I validation my configuration with an Avatar disk - SVQ works fine for that.

Note Avatar is reported as AACS v16,BD+
while Percy Jackson is reported as AACS v17,BD+

@thudman99, @moviebuff

Just as it was with "Avatar", it sounds like differing protection schemes may have been used for releases in different regions ad, possibly different 'packages" (sellthrough, two disc, one disc, rental, etc.).

Did you send in your dumps for analysis?

I'm also unable to rip Percy Jackson, and I'm using the latest 1.6.0. Messages start like this:

Code: Select all

MakeMKV v1.6.0 win(x86-release) started
Using direct disc access mode
Loaded 13 SVQ file(s)
Processing BD+ code, please be patient - this may take up to few minutes
Processing BD+ code using generic SVQ from builtin/00001.svq
BD+ code processed, got 1 FUT(s) for 1 clip(s)
File 00800.mpls was added as title #0
then less that 20% of the way through, I get reads that slow to a crawl and stop. Disk seems to be in great condition. Messages are:

Code: Select all

Saving 1 titles into directory E:/Video/Percy_Jackson_and_the_Olympians_The_Lightning_Thief
Error 'Scsi error - NO SENSE:NO ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '4785371136'
Error 'Scsi error - NO SENSE:NO ADDITIONAL SENSE INFORMATION' occurred while reading '/BDMV/STREAM/00800.m2ts' at offset '4785371136'
Failed to save title 0 to file E:/Video/Percy_Jackson_and_the_Olympians_The_Lightning_Thief/title00.mkv
Seems likely that this is a protection issue, but if it's just a bad disk, I can get another one. Any suggestions appreciated.
BTW, I sent the dump file to support@makemkv.com . On a second attempt, I got the dump file. Tried a different computer too, also no-go.

Code: Select all

Saved BD+ dump file as C:/tmp/MakeMKV/dump_Percy_Jackson_and_the_Olympians_The_Lightning_Thief_15348DDD9AAF88F7.tgz
