Anyone have an issue when you rip the Martian the Chinese subtitles at first are at the top of the screen then at the bottom? Anyone know a fix?

The subtitles are where the authors placed them. They are graphic images on both DVD and Bluray, rather than text.
I would guess the disk author placed them in the "least busy" part of the picture to have the best readability, even though jumping about like that can be very confusing!

I'm having trouble even getting the subtitles to show up at that part of the movie. Anyone know the correct procedure to force the subtitles? I need them to be in English while the Chinese speak in Chinese.
