Shows the March 4, 2010 date as the release.
Has there really been no updates since 1 year 9 months ago?
The revision history does not show any dates associated with the program versions.

Is MakeMKV still under active development?
MakeMKV Beta 1.6.16 is 21 months OLD!!!
Re: MakeMKV Beta 1.6.16 is 21 months OLD!!!
It shows no such thing. It merely shows when the post was created. When a new version is released the post gets edited and updated. This does not change the date of the post.Shows the March 4, 2010 date as the release.
Yes, MakeMKV is still under active development.
1.6.16 is about 6 weeks old.

With only one static date for the single post of only latest version confusion should be expected.crowfax wrote:It shows no such thing. It merely shows when the post was created. That's good to know.crowfax wrote:Yes, MakeMKV is still under active development.
Where can I find this date for the current beta release?crowfax wrote:1.6.16 is about 6 weeks old.
Or for the previous releases?
It isn't shown in the history link: http://www.makemkv.com/download/history.html

You can find some (not all) of the previous releases hereWhzifs9YwTxu wrote:With only one static date for the single post of only latest version confusion should be expected.crowfax wrote:It shows no such thing. Some of them were not stable at all so you won't see them....1.6.9 and 1.6.10 come to mind
Re: MakeMKV Beta 1.6.16 is 21 months OLD!!!
This is a complaint I've had, but not bothered to post - an ANNOUNCEMENTS section should not have static dates on non-static messages.
Please, SHOW that something has changed, by deleting the old message and replacing it with the current one! Then, it will show up if someone clicks on "View unread posts", and the section will be tagged as having new information.
If you want to show history, leave the old message, but don't tag it as Sticky or Announcement.
Same applies for the beta key message - making it NEW each time a new key is posted will cut down (it will NEVER eliminate!) the "Is there a new key for the beta available?" messages we get each month or so.
Just saying.... (bulletin board sysop/admin for too many years)
