... It is basically a SATA drive in a SATA to USB caddy. This works fine in Windows with MakeMKV with no issues. In Linux (Pop OS) however MakeMKV cant detect it properly. It shows in the drop down list but it just sits there with the drive icon spinning but never gets any further reading the drive. The drive itself just stops spinning after a few seconds. The drive itself works fine in Linux otherwise. I can browse the contents of the drive with no problems. I can even rip audio CD's. MakeMKV just gets stuck. I only put a basic dvd in the drive of a tv show.
If I plug in an older slimline Bluray drive that is also in a sata to usb caddy it works fine in Linux with MakeMKV. That drive is...

The older drive works fine in Linux. The newer one doesnt. Not sure why. Does anybody have any ideas? I've spent many hours diagnosing with ChatGPT but everything led to a dead end.
