Beta Key 🔑 Doesn’t Work forced to buy

Hello ,

Was curious why the beta key stopped working and now I’m forced to purchase a key. I keep trying the key that is supposedly not expired according to the post yet, for just me, doesn’t work. Kind of creepy.

nah it will be for everyone im guessing it goes by the devs time zone its march there and it says it good till end of feb so should be expired.
a new key will be posted in the future

I wonder if Leap Day screwed up the release schedule. Either way I'm just twiddling my thumbs until the new key comes out.

Just as a test I changed the date on my computer from March to February. Boom, MKV working again. Changed it back to March when I was done.

I tried this earlier and it did not work for me.

The key expired on 24 03 01. Still works for me if i manually switch back the date, but than every other software complains for security risk of not having set the correct date.

The date is only checked when MakeMKV starts. It can be turned back right after that. If you leave MakeMKV running while idle (depends on how paranoid we are), it doesn't check the date again.

Ok so usually this works when I set my system date back. The other day it didn't. Today I got it to work with these steps:
1. Set system date back.
2. Start MakeMKV. If it says evaluation expired, Do a Register and put in the expired key.
3. Restart MakeMKV and open media, this time it works.
4. Set system date/time back to automatic.
5. Keep Calm and Carry On

well I thought it worked. Now all my discs are having strings of errors immediately after putting them in, and they crash the system. Wish a new key would just come out. It's 3/5....

This is the new key. it didnt work immediately but i had to restart it, now all fine.
