cant get avatar 2 full movie to be first on plex
no matter what i try, a special feature will be the main title folder, though i see the movie listed at the top, player just skips right to bonus

Sounds like you have your files named wrong.

I always put 'extras' in a subfolder, usually 'Other' just to simplify things.

Yes, extras must be placed in sub-folders or they will be recognized as movie files.
As an example, this is the contents of my folder called "Blade Runner (1982)" within my Plex movie library:
All the extras are categorized (although, as @dcoke22 said, they don't necessarily need to be) in separate sub-folders, and different editions of the same movie are located in the main folder with each edition labelled as shown.
Note that the description, which is everything after {edition- can be whatever you want it to be.

Plex's multiple edition support is only available to Plex Pass subscribers. Probably worth mentioning just in case someone who isn't a subscriber starts to lose their mind trying to make it work.
