Request: Skip start scan

It would be nice if there was an option to skip the initial device scan - it takes a long time and if you are not going to use it anyway if you are just loading files of the harddrive it can be a bit annoying. So perhaps an on demand scan instead?

This is annoying when using the GUI to rip. I Always have to put the disc in, wait a minute, then click and wait again.

I would love an option to go directly to the track selection after inserting a disc.

If you skip scanning the disk, how would your system know what selections are available?
