There will likely be a new key soon.
You just have to wait if you don't buy it that's the downside of the free version this has been the norm for 10+ years

You're welcome! It didn't say closed and invited me to post any question about MakeMKV beta.

I did try very hard to find a working key. After all, it's December 5th. I wondered if perhaps the "beta" stage had ended. I also looked at the MakeMKV website and didn't see any way to even purchase a key. I'll try to be patient for a new beta key to appear.

Excuse me eroc1990, but cut me some slack. Are you perfect? We don't all just browse the long list of forum posts when we have a question. I did an internet search, not at forum.makemkv.com. It took me directly to the page I posted on. The information on the page said this was the correct place. Perhaps I didn't notice the date of the post. Big deal.

Pinned posts are typically at the top of any topic-specific sub-forum, but people rarely notice. Posts are dated, but people rarely notice. I tend to respond w/ appropriate links, but people often take that as condescension... thank you for accepting it in the spirit it was intended.

This topic comes up every 2 months when the beta key expires & as the history is expunged (deservedly so... it's been ugly, at times, over 10+ years), newcomers continue to ask the obvious questions. See the cycle repeat enough times & folks get cranky.

I completely appreciated your response with a helpful link. I immediately followed the link and read the FAQ about beta and permanent keys. I understand the system much better now. eroc1990's post however was just meant to shame or scold me for such a horrible oversight? I guess I apologize.

Long time beta user here. Today I made the switch and purchased a license. Just wanted to jump in here to say thank you for such a useful tool that enables me to convert my collection into digital format in order to put all my media on a central home media server for ease of viewing.
